12 SILVER DEATHLAYER ** CHICKEN HATCHING EGGS* GREENFIRE FARMS STOCK

Up for bid are 12 eggs   from the Very Rare SILVER DEATHLAYER  ( German name, Totleger )  chicken. Our breeders came directly from Greenfire Farms in Florida the last of September 2017.  Greenfire Farms are the ones who imported them
One of the pictures shows one of the boxes my original breeders came in.
All pictures are from my flock of 12 hens and 3 Roosters.
A recent census in Germany put the total registered population at about 1,500 birds..
The Roosters weigh 5 to 6 lbs. and the hens 4 to 5 1/2 lb.
The contrasting black and white plumage will no doubt make it a favorite of poultry hobbyists to experience this remarkable rare breed of chicken in their own backyards.
They are excellent free rangers and do quite well in pens. It is hard to imagine a more beautiful rooster than the Deathlayer with its tight cushion comb, iridescent green and purples in its black feathers, luxuriant tail, and totally black doll eyes.
A literal translation of its German name, Totleger, means "death layer"  One theory is that the name was bestowed because the hens are so productive they lay a medium white egg each day until the day they die.
I am an approved tester for the State of Illinois NPIP program and I can assure you this flock is clean.

Eggs will be shipped on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday after you purchase eggs. Please pay right after auction close so I can get eggs shipped as soon as possible.
Eggs not over 3 days old at auction close. Most are 1 day old or same day.

I can not guarantee the eggs to hatch because when eggs are shipped, I have no control over how they are handled during the trip, incubated at your farm, or other factors that can harm hatchability. Perfectly fertile eggs will not develop or hatch when subjected to rough postal handling, X-rays or incubator mishaps.
The eggs will be bubble wrapped and packed securely so you will have the best possible chances of hatching.
Any eggs that arrive broken in shipment, I will issue a refund for the broken eggs or replace them at my discretion. I will need pictures of the broken eggs.
Feedback should be based on the condition the eggs were received in shipment, not the hatch rate.
