    Description

1969 Ford Ranchero throwback “Gasser” style Hot Rod
This is an exceptionally clean, straight, all steel, noBondo, and rare 1969 Ranchero. Was originally the Fairlane 500 model, butprevious owner made the interior a GT clone, complete with factory bucketseats, door panels, and center console.
I am third owner and it is an original California car from the SanFernando Valley.
It is nowregistered in my name in a “Non-Op” status. I have already obtained from Ca.DMV, personalized Black and Yellow plates “GASSR69” which go with the sale.
    *******IT IS SMOG EXEMPT*******
You will be hard pressed to find one as complete as thiswhen it comes to original exterior trim. All window stainless is perfect, grille and headlight bezels are in excellent condition, several of the enginebadges are new. The chrome and stainless around the bed are very good, but thechrome is pitted a bit, but complete.
Interior as you can see from pictures is fantastic. No A/Cor heater, but I do have A/C brackets, no compressor, heater was deleted, butcore still in car. Headliner and carpet great, door panels have a littlewarping. Passenger window rolls up all the way, drivers window ¾ of the way, needs regulator adjusted.
It has a Speedway Motors Straight Axle kit installed withpower disc brakes, complete with 13 degrees of caster for stability, factorysteering box which is surprisingly good with little to any slop.
Steers, stops, and drives straight ascan be. Rear end is factory Ford 9 inch with drum brakes and a tall 3:00 gearand traction bars.  Comes with a matching set of aluminum slot mags for the front.
Motor is a marine block Ford 351 Windsor, factory heads,Edelbrock 351 Performer intake manifold, matched RV cam from Summit with 302firing order, New Edelbrock 650cfm, electric choke, mechanical secondaries, aluminum valve covers, fenderwell “cerakoted” headers with cut-outs.
Aftermarket plug wires with protectiveheat resistant fiberglass boots to prevent the headers from burning them. Bigaluminum radiator and runs at 190 or below even when 95+ degrees outside, greatoil pressure, perfect charging system.
Transmission shifts perfectly, and is the stout FordCruise-o-matic 3 speed FMX model.
The bed has been coated with Rust-o-leum undercoating andhas some very minor corrosion toward the front passenger side.
    What this car is not:
    It is not perfect
It is not a 10, 11, or 12 second Hot Rod.
It is not a rust bucket, corroded in the fenderwells or doorcorners.
It is not a “Show Car” with 100K poured into it.
It does not have a perfect paint job.
    What this car is:
    It is smog exempt
    It is currently registered
    It is super cool
It is fun as hell to drive and cruise to car shows
It is mechanically sound and reliable.
    It runs well
It is a rare vehicle and is only going to get more rare.
It is complete with all the hard to find trim pieces therein excellent shape.
It is very nostalgic and a head turner.
It is the PERFECT platform for anybody looking to make aHigh End Gasser Restoration worth a lot of money.
Would be a shame to cut it up too much, but if you own it,do as you please.
