Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail are a great addition to your farm or homestead. It typically takes about 18 days to hatch and the quail start laying around 6 to 7 weeks old.  The Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail grow up fast and are fully mature in 8 to 10 weeks.
The comparison images above are of a standard quail egg vs our Jumbo Coturnix quail eggs.  There is a significant difference between them, as you can see from the weights on the scale. The standard quail egg is .35 oz while the Jumbo quail egg is .53 oz. (The jumbo eggs vary slightly in weight but are always larger than the standard quail eggs) All of the eggs we are shipping to you in this order will be for the Jumbo Quail Eggs.
We track our own hatching rates, and we are currently at 83.5% successful hatch rates. You should not expect that with eggs that have been shipped. Given ideal circumstances, you should expect somewhere between 50% and 60% hatch rates.
Our quail are cared for continuously throughout the day and the eggs are picked up within hours to ensure you get the freshest eggs possible. These eggs are for hatching so they are fertile. The Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail are much larger than a regular Quail. They are great for both meat and eggs. These birds are curious by nature and have a calm disposition, which makes them easy to raise, and are perfect if this is your first time hatching or you are seasoned professional.
There are many variables when hatching eggs such as, the incubator temperatures, the humidity inside the incubator, and rough handling by the post office to name a few so we can not guarantee a hatch rate.
We ship priority mail 2 to 3 day shipping, to make sure your eggs do not sit in any one place to long, and to make sure you get the freshest eggs possible.   We normally ship next day but this time of year we may need to delay shipping if the weather is to cold by a day or two just to make sure the eggs stay viable. We ship all eggs with care in custom foam, for insulation and protection during transport. The post office can be unpredictable, but this shipping method gives your eggs the best chance of maintaining viability, and we always include extra eggs free of charge when available and mark the boxes as fragile.
We currently only ship to the lower 48 states in the USA
